Maribeth Gajewski MA, LPC, NCC, ACS
Maribeth Gajewski recieved her BA in Elementary Education from Oakland University in 2014. Maribeth recieved her MA in Counseling from Oakland University in 2017. Maribeth is a Fully Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Maribeth values continuing education and growth. Maribeth has gained a certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy after completing coursework at Oakland University. She also has a history of continuing education specializing in children, trauma and suicide prevention. Maribeth's experiences as a Children's Home Based Therapist, Inpatient Psychiatric Social Worker and Outpatient Therapist have contributed to her well rounded experiences working with a variety of clients. Maribeth holds the Approved Clinical Supervisor Credential in which she values providing supervision to newly licensed professionals.
Maribeth's counseling orientation focuses on the Cognitive-Behavioral model, teaching how your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and situations affect each other. Maribeth is also Psychoanalytical, helping you to gain insight and understanding on how your family and personal experiences have affects on past, present and future behavior. Most importantly Maribeth is Client Centered and will treat each of you individually based on your needs and preferences to lead to positive physical and mental wellness.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is currently offered for individuals experiencing a wide array of mental health concerns. Maribeth has worked with a variety of client needs ranging from increased stress, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, post trauma symptoms, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, self harming behaviors, mood disorder, eating disorders etc. Referral out may be provided based on each individual's needs after assessed in initial intake*
Families and Couples
Maribeth has many experiences of working with both couples and families. During couples therapy couples will work towards increasing healthy communication, identifying needs in the relationship as well as setting healthy boundaries. Family therapy provides an avenue for families to discuss concerns, identify needs and gain techniques for improving the household environment.
LLPC Supervision
Maribeth is an Approved Clinical Supervisor through the NBCC. She has completed over 40 hours of extensive supervision training through the University of Greensboro. Individual Supervision is available for clinican's residing near Macomb County Michigan for in person supervision meetings. Maribeth also offers group supervision to groups of 3-6 clinicians.
Trauma Focused CBT
Maribeth is certified as a Tramua Focused Cogntiive Behavioral Therapist through the Trauma-Focused Cogntiive Behavioral Therapy National Therapist Certification Program. TFCBT is geared to support children and adolescents that have experienced trauma. This treatment is short term (8-25 sessions) and aims to improve children's trauma symptoms and responses.
